Aivah's Story (Gluten/Dairy) |
The Beginning
Don't Feed Me, LLC began in 2008 shortly after my granddaughter Aivah was diagnosed with Celiac disease and a casein (dairy) allergy. I urge you to read "Aivah's Story". We were so overwhelmed with questions and not sure where to go to find the answers. Our main objective is to provide answers. This website was created to help others who have had to step into our shoes. In the beginning, we were concerned with information about gluten and dairy. We have broadened our research to include nuts, eggs, ADHD and Autism. If you are still unable to find the answers you are searching for, please let us know and we will help you find them.
In addition to information, we now also provide a Cookbook to show you that a gluten-free, casein-free lifestyle does not need to be restrictive and is not impossible.
Our cookbook provides information about gluten, dairy, descriptions on gluten-free flours, other names manufacturers use to describe dairy and gluten. There are over 120 recipes, and many "words of wisdom" for you to use and enjoy. You can purchase a copy on our "Cookbook" page.
We also offer protection for your children with our Allergy Alert T-shirts. Our shirts will help alert others such as relatives, friends and daycare providers that there are certain foods your child cannot eat. At this time, we offer "Don't Feed Me. . ." T-shirts for GRAINS (wheat, rye, barley), DAIRY (lactose & casein) and GRAINS & DAIRY (gluten and lactose / casein). You can purchase a T-shirt on our Allergy Alert Pins & T-Shirts page.
We publish a monthly digital Newsletter. Our newsletter includes information about Celiac disease, allergies to foods such as diary, eggs & nuts, Autism, and/or new recipes. If you would like to receive our Newsletter please sign up to the left . . . . . <. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
