Hooray! Our third book made it to the publisher!

This book is perfect for a "newbie" to the gluten-free lifestyle, but has useful information for those who have been living gluten-free for some time.

We cover the various emotions that can be experienced once you switch to a gluten-free lifestyle - relief, fear, panic, denial, self-pity, anger and acceptance to name a few. These emotions are normal and you may experience them more than once - I know I have during the past 2 years of gluten-free living. We talk about brain fog and bodily functions. Yes, bodily functions. I have learned, from personal experience, if you have Celiac disease you need to be able to discuss "bodily functions" with others. It can be such a big part of the Celiac lifestyle!

We discuss the challenges faced by different age groups - infants, children, teenagers and adults. Each age level has their own unique set of challenges with the gluten-free lifestyle. Also covered in this book is the 504 Plan for school-aged children and the steps you need to take to start a 504 Plan with your child's school. This book is packed with information to help you follow a gluten-free lifestyle!

Our book has a retail price of $18.95. For a limited time, you can order our book - at a discounted introductory price of $15.00

We are dedicated to providing information and support to individuals with Celiac disease and food allergies. Our company and website were created in 2008 when my granddaughter Aivah was diagnosed with Celiac disease and a casein allergy. We began as Don't Feed Me, LLC. "Don't Feed" was our initial concern. Since that time, we have learned there is hope for the future. The hummingbird represents Aivah - the name Aivah means small bird. The tiny hummingbird is a symbol for accomplishing things that seem impossible and teaches us how to find the joy of living from our own life circumstances. With time, information and support we learn to find the hope and joy of living with the challenges of Celiac disease and food allergies.

Discovering you have Celiac disease or a food allergy can be confusing, frustrating and at times overwhelming. On The Wings of Hope provides information about symptoms, cross-contamination and resources for individuals living with Celiac disease and/or food allergies. Living with Celiac disease or a food allergy can be difficult. We want you to know there is hope and you are not alone. One of the toughest challenges to changing the foods you eat to improve your health is knowing what you CAN and CANNOT eat. When you are told you need to eliminate certain foods to improve your health, your first reaction may have you believing you can no longer eat your favorite foods. We can help you sort through the confusion, learn to recognize what is safe to eat and give you hope for the future.

1 in 133 people have Celiac disease, yet 90% of these people are not aware of it. Many of the symptoms of Celiac disease are similar to symptoms of other health conditions and can be misdiagnosed. Undiagnosed Celiac disease can cause permanent physical damage that cannot be reversed, so early diagnosis is important. Food allergies affect 1 in every 25 people. 90% of all food allergies are caused by the top 8 allergens -  wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, soy, fish and shellfish. Corn is becoming the 9th top allergen.

On The Wings of Hope offers information, support and resources to help lessen the frustration and stress that Celiac disease and food allergies can create. We have been where you are. Let us help you find that hope. We will carry you on our wings until you do.
